or read our Welcome Guide to learn how to use this site. I wanted to clean install an OS so i used my Dell product recovery cd to install Win 98. during the "loading Kernel debugger dll" during setup. That's usually what Error Code 4 means.
It turned out to be a bad CD burner. any other suggestion, anyone. Format the partition. check my blog It worked for me. If you do not have a Windows 98 boot disc, you can tell in other ways. Being a member gives you additional options.
I have tried all the other options. Replacing the drive will take care of the first part of the problem. I'm not sure if this is a laptop only problem. I am thinking that it has something to do with either the hard disk or the RAM. Didn't get any bios problems or anything, but memory must have been on the way out. New PC freezing games unless...
