I simply disconnected the IDE devices (CD and tape drive) and then the board booted to the point that I could go into cmos setup and set the boot order. Can the old optical devices (~5 years old) be the reason for that behaviour? Also, remove any add-in cards that are not required to get video. If the MB is not recognizing the HD how would I do this? TigerDirect also stopped selling the boards and barebones kit suddenly for some reason...
