I checked both folders: Start Menu AND Programs and on both the administrator was gone. PS/2 devices are no longer supported in IntelliPoint 8.0. and somehow eveything was working. So, I removed MS Office and reinstalled it completely.

Do this for both directories, then try the installation again. I always got the "Incompatibility Notice" and error code 1603.
