I did have Intellipoint installed and indeed there is a directory full of it's stuff in program files, but driver wise I seem to be using... You will never be bored with Windows !! I start microsoft mouse, but nothing happens! I've had it for years & it comes with it's own software called Intellipoint Keyboard/Mouse. I used many reg cleaners and iObUninaller many times and MS FixIt with no luck.

The problem is with me more than anything. Intellipoint Software I am the only user of the machine, so unless the Windows 7 install changed some permissions, I should have full Admin. I've never known any upgrade that didn't cause a problem somewhere or other. That reg key Device Centre deletion solved the issue. The issue has been escalated for further troubleshooting...who knows if I'll ever hear back from them.
