Anyway: I installed the Intel Matrix Storage Manager which IS compatible with my hardware (even though my hardware was very old - from 2004). It helped me resolve the error message which I've been wondering about for a while. What is the meaning of this sentence and why did the Giant rip open his belly? Do I need to do something in the Intel Matrix Storage Manager software first to make the drive available?
