So to me this means that it should be my RAID drivers that are at fault and not my hard drives. I've read that recreating the RAID with the exact same settings (partition size, block size etc) will not lose the data but I dont think I trust that, either way I WD diagnostics are fine and I'm sure this is not a hard fault on the drive. this content
Side note: I would not depend on a controller that gives this type of obscure and entirely unhelpful error messages. KruseLudington kept this thread alive and posted a fast, easy to understand solution in this final paragraph. It happened to me during my Overclocking process, frequently BSOD can cause the hard drisk data to corrupted, made a false alarm that your hard drive is broken. Glad to hear it didn't lose the array with the update!
Anyone know any fixes/workarounds for nVidia motherboards? I don't know the WD usilities, but for Maxtor both the disks and the diag-software are over-optimistic in their thresholds. So about 2 hours ago I uninstalled Left 4 Dead and then reinstalled it and it still crashed around 20 minutes in but this time only crashed the game and not with in the "Matrix Storage Controller" I can mark it as a normal drive, but I believe that it just makes it ignore the problem it is finding and just pretends Checked all connections and reinstalled HDs.
