Internal Compiler Error Java.lang.illegalargumentexception

I'm proposing to backport this to 4.3.1, because: - the damage is real and the only workaround I see is to disable annotation based null analysis (quite a big hammer) - Tests running with the patch. I'm not entirely convinced by your design - selectedFileHolder will be changed asynchronously so why is it a local variable anyway - what are you trying to achieve? If somebody downloads the version from today and runs it with Java 10, we are not prepared for that, ecj would suddenly run on that version, although not wanted. http://mttags.com/internal-compiler/internal-compiler-error-java-lang-noclassdeffounderror.php

It is currently in use by another Gradle instance. Prevents use in library projects with Jack, but I think Jack doesn't support library projects anyway (presumably since they go to jar not dex). Gradle plugin version: 2.2.0-alpha5 in my module build.gradle I added: compile 'com.jakewharton:butterknife:8.2.1' annotationProcessor 'com.jakewharton:butterknife-compiler:8.2.1' And the error message is: Error:Execution failed for task ':app:transformJackWithJackForDebug'. For common-build I used a similar approach: We fail, as before for Java < 7.

The last time I encountered this one it was fix with an Eclipse upgrade but since you're already up to date; you may try to downgrade to Luna (4.4) ? https://forums.aws.amazon.com/thread.jspa?threadID=24738 Unfortunately, it's a large class with lots of dependencies on other classes so I can't share it as it is. People say that you should use Double.parseDouble(), but this is broken after Java 10! I am now working on makint the common-build-detector assign "unknown" to everything which is not in our expected list of JVMs.

Jay, you then need add the review+ flag based on that. More about the author I prefer them to be positive, so ecj is now only run if version is in "1.7" or "1.8", everything else is not supported For javadoc generation, i pass -Xdoclint:none for disallow not-yet-known build environments for specific targets/tasks. I will investigate: I just have to check if other JVMs like J9 respect this format. All rights reserved. Hide Permalink Uwe Schindler added a comment - 14/Aug/14 14:44 +1 I will take care of the check Show Uwe Schindler added a comment - 14/Aug/14 14:44 +1 I will take

we simply say, everything >=1.9 is up to now detected as minimum java 9.

Roberts suggestion with java.specification.version is also good to investigate, but has some problem: Ryan Ernst removed StringUtils.versionComparator, so its not easy to do "minimal" checks in Constants.java. We could fix this with a groovy taskdef, providing a version comparator (to be investigated). Hide Permalink Michael McCandless added a comment - 14/Aug/14 14:16 I'm seeing this too... For now I would leave common-build.xml as it is, so we can detect everythoing >=9 as Java 9, so we would not run ecj on Java 10. Jay, you then need add the review+ flag based on that.
