As I recall, the legacy ntfs driver had no stable write support and was largely abandoned when it turned out ntfs-3g was significantly more stable and secure. When i ran "ls" in it I got "Input/output error" for all folders in it. Browse other questions tagged ubuntu directory ntfs or ask your own question. If you have good backup its safe to reboot.If your system was hacked there are chances they might messed up your file and system would not work after reboot.
